FAQs
What is Cognitive Behavior Therapy?
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is a method of therapy that links thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to treat a wide range of issues including anxiety and depression.
Are sessions remote or in person?
At this time sessions are conducted both in person and by phone or video.
How often do we meet?
I offer once a week 50 minute appointments.
What are your session rates?
Session fees are $180 for individual appointments and $225 for couples. I offer a number of sliding scale appointments, based on need and resources. If finances are a barrier to treatment for you, please ask about a sliding scale fee.
Do you take insurance?
I currently take the insurance associated with UC Berkeley. If you have another insurance provider you can inquire with your provider about covering out of network providers and I can provide you with a monthly superbill for your reimbursement.
If you are paying out of pocket you are entitled to, and I will make available upon request, a Good Faith Estimate. This is a statement of expected costs associated with my services.
What is your cancellation policy?
Outside of medical emergencies, I ask that you notify me at least 24 hours in advance of our scheduled appointment time.
